Repairing Torn Photos |

This torn photo was brought to me to repair. After scanning the image on a flatbed scanner, I went to work with the CLONE tool in Photoshop 4.0 LE. The CLONE tool takes pixels from one area in the photo and moves them to another. It was a simple matter to take pixels from "untorn" areas of the floor and walls and move them to cover the torn areas.. |

Other areas were more complicated and required more time and skill. The head, clothing, and lace required a much finer BRUSH size (still using the CLONE tool) to repair the clothes, the lacy material, and the torn ear and hair. |
