Why Retouch?

Every photo you see in a first class magazine is digitally retouched.

No digital camera is perfect at reproducing accurate tonalities and colors in all lighting conditions. Digitally optimizing images corrects for these camera weaknesses.

Children, teens, men, and women are all digitally retouched. Even the world's best looking people are retouched so they look their absolute best.

You deserve that too!  I retouch every portrait in a way that suits your particular preferences. Examples of basic and enhanced photo retouching are below.

I take the time to do this right. Some photographers take shortcuts and you end up with "plastic", unnatural looking skin. With a first class retouching job you can still see the original skin texture but it has been carefully softened and smoothed.

The real test of a retouching job is to look at some large prints. Online images don't tell the whole story (and some computer monitors distort images). Don't choose a photographer until you have looked at some 11 x 14 and larger prints.
